KC Springer and Sofia Martinez-Tomatis led a potent San Marcos attack in a 19-1 rout of Louisville in a non-league girls lacrosse game on Thursday at Warkentin Stadium.
The Royals dominated from the start, roaring to an 11-0 lead by halftime.
Ten San Marcos players contributed to the offense against the overmatched Louisville squad.
Martinez-Tomatis compiled eight points on four goals and four assists, while Springer fired in five goals. The defenders contributed five points while playing up in the midfield and on the attack.
“Our midfield came up with the ball so many times that we were on offense a lot,” said coach Paul Ramsey, “but they shared the ball with each other rather than jam it in there so that was nice to see.”
Sophomore goalie Megan Taylor had three saves.
San Marcos improves to 9-3 and travels to Ojai on Tuesday to take on Channel League opponent Thacher.
