San Marcos fell behind 3-0 in the first 20 minutes and fell to visiting Hart, 5-1, in a non-league girls soccer match on Thursday.
Sierra Chesluk scored for San Marcos, capitalzing on a poor clearance by the Hart goalkeeper and scoring from 25 yards.
“My team learned a lot tonight,” coach Jennifer Sotelo said. “Speed of play on and off the ball was very fast tonight and my girls adjusted and tried to keep up. I commend their toughness and for their spirit. They never gave up and fought hard.”
