San Marcos won its third straight Channel League girls soccer match, blanking visiting Santa Ynez 2-0 on Tuesday.
The Royals stunned the Pirates in the fourth minute with good ball movement. Eden Lazarus fed Evony Diaz out wide and she squared the ball to Sophia Orozco for a tap-in goal.
San Marcos struck again just before halftime. Becca Rodriguez hit a corner kick that Caroline Mikkelson finished with a powerful header for a 2-0 lead it would never give up.
