The Fifth Annual Santa Barbara County Farm Day, Saturday, Sept. 23, is seeking volunteers.
Farm Day, organized by the nonprofit Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG), is a day when farms and farm-related organizations open their doors to the public for free tours and product samples.
The 17 participating locations, each needing volunteers, are primarily in Santa Maria and in Santa Ynez Valley, Orcutt and Los Alamos.

A volunteer meeting will be held 12:30-1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Pioneer Valley High School, 675 Panther Drive., Santa Maria, rm. 311. Enter through the administration office.
Volunteers will be assigned a location and given a volunteer kit to bring with them on Farm Day. Volunteers must sign up in advance of the meeting at https://bit.ly/SEEAGVolunteer.
Volunteers 21 and older are particularly needed for Farm Day’s new Viticulture Hub at Allan Hancock College Student Farm and Vineyard in Santa Maria.
For volunteer-related questions and for prospective volunteers who can’t attend the meeting, call Tyr Talavera at 805-892-8155 or email tyr@seeag.org.
