The Cyclones, a Santa Barbara AYSO 12-under boys all-star soccer team, won a bronze medal at the SpacePort Classic in Lompoc last weekend.

The Cyclones went 5-0 in regulation games and lost in the semifinals against San Luis Obispo on penalty kicks. San Luis Obispo went on to win the championship.   

The Cyclones rebounded in the third-place game and beat Paso Robles, 4-3. Nico Anderson Alvarado, Jacob Brown, Mason Dos and Johnny Duff scored for Santa Barbara.    

The Cyclones’ next tournament will be the Area 10W All-Star Tournament in Santa Barbara on January 18-19. The winners advancing to the Section 10 Championships in Bakersfield.  

The Cyclones roster includes Adam Almada, Nicholas Anderson Alvarado, Jacob Brown, Lucas Cruz, Enzo DeMatteo, Mason Dos, Johnny Duffy, Hayden Feleay, Patrick Foster, Graham Millington, Mason McClure,and Senyo Wojogbe. Ken Almada is the head coach, assisted by Michael Foster.
