The Santa Barbara County Courthouse Docent Council is seeking applicants.

Training for people interested in becoming docents at the National Historic Landmark will begin Jan. 7 and end March 10.

It’s an opportunity to learn about the history and architecture of the special building and share the information with its many visitors from around the world.

A coffee meeting will be held Nov. 21 for prospective docents to meet other docents and learn more about the upcoming class. Classes will be held weekly on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Applications are available at the courthouse information booth or by contacting Mary Ann Froley at 805.448.1671 or mafroley@cox.net. If interested in the opportunity, RSVP to Froley for the coffee gathering.
