Whitney Meister scored off a missed clearance for the only goal, giving the Santa Barbara High girls soccer team a 1-0 Channel League win at Cabrillo on Tuesday.
“It was a nice goal for Whitney, who’s returning from injury and got her confidence back,” said coach Willie Sims. “I liked how confident our team was today from the start, knowing what we were looking for to get the win.”
Goalie Carolina Koceman earned the clean sheet.
“Our backline was solid and our goalie Carolina Koceman once again showed why she’s one of the top goalies in our league, making 3 crucial saves in the first half,” said Sims.
The Dons, 1-0 in league play, host Lompoc on Thursday.
