An Oxnard high school teacher was arrested Wednesday by Santa Barbara police detectives for allegedly having illicit sex with a minor.
Investigators interviewed and arrested Michael Ian Flesher, 40, in Oxnard, according police spokesman Anthony Wagner.
Flesher was taken into custody on a warrant alleging unlawful sex with a minor and oral copulation with a minor, Wagner said.
No details were provided about the alleged victim or where the offenses occurred.
The investigation involved possible crimes in Oxnard and Santa Barbara, Wagner said.
Flesher, who is listed as a teacher at Pacifica High School in Oxnard, was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail, with bail set at $50,000.
“Individuals who may have additional information on this case or wish to report a crime are asked to contact law enforcement within their residing jurisdiction,” Wagner added.
