Santa Ynez buried six three-pointers in the first quarter, built a 20-5 against Dos Pueblos and won the Channel League girls basketball game 55-37 on Thursday night.
The Pirates were 13 of 29 from behind the arc.
“Besides the lopsided first quarter, we actually played Santa Ynez fairly close,” said DP coach Phil Sherman. “The best take away is that 10 people scored in this game.”
Lily Mires had a productive game for DP with nine points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots.
Dos Pueblos (11-5, 1-1) plays Lompoc on Tuesday.
