The Santa Ynez boys stayed undefeated by blanking visiting Bishop Diego 18-0 in a non-league match Tuesday.

Jacob Merrill, Noah Thompson and Luke Lockhart all swept their singles sets. The Pirates’ doubles teams lost only seven games in sweeping nine sets.

“Our whole team played very well, but I’d particularly like to highlight substitutes Ben Watkins and Brett Adams, who have been playing well together lately and came in today and beat Bishop Diego’s number one doubles team 6-0,” Santa Ynez coach Nate Thompson said. “They both served and communicated excellently.”

The Pirates record is now 11-0.
