Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (SYVCH) has been named the 2019 Valley Community Business of the Year by the Solvang Chamber of Commerce.

More than 200 community guests attended the event to honor area businesses for Taking Care of Business, said Solvang Chamber executive director Tracy Beard.

“On behalf of our staff, I am thrilled to accept this award for Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital,” said Wende Cappetta, SYVCH vice president. “It’s a privilege for us to serve this community and to provide medical excellence close to home for all who live, work and visit the valley.”

SYVCH is part of the not-for-profit Cottage Health, which provides advanced medical care to the Central Coast region. Specialties include Cottage Children’s Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma Center, Neuroscience Institute, Heart & Vascular Center, Center for Orthopedics, and Rehabilitation Hospital.

The Cottage Health medical staff is comprised of some 700 physicians.
