At the girls’ Triton Scramble at Pacifica High, Sophia Slavich and Pepper Marks won titles. Marks, a reigning CIF-SS champion, pinned her way through the tournament. She pinned a Pacifica wrestler in the final.

In her title match, Slavich pinned her opponent from Harvard Westlake.

The boys team competed at the Ranger Team Duals at Nordhoff and went 3-2. The Dons defeated San Marcos, Channel Islands and Santa Paula and lost to Ventura (45-26) and Nordhoff (41-36).

“We gave up 18 points every match due to unfilled weight classes,” said first-year coach Mark Fidel.
