The SBCC women’s soccer team scored twice in the first half and held on for a 2-1 win over previously undefeated Allan Hancock on Tuesday night at La Playa Stadium.

Sofia Orozco scored in the 14th minute off a diagonal pass from Theresa English. Dakota Thyssen made in 2-0, finishing a back-heel touch from English in the 21st minute.

Hancock scored in the 52nd minute.

Santa Barbara has now won three straight games to improve to 4-1-4 overall and 3-0 in WSC play. The Bulldogs are now 8-1-3 overall, 3-1 conference.

SBCC Men 8, Citrus 0

Lukas Lovgren scored four goals in the first half as the Vaqueros dominated the visiting Owls in a Western State Conference match.

SBCC led 7-0 at halftime as Will Demirkol tallied two goals and Bart Muns finished one. Gino Contreras scored the final goal in the 67th minute.

Unbeaten in six straight contests, the Vaqueros improve to 4-1-4 on the year while Citrus falls to 2-4-3.
