A man was seriously injured Wednesday night when a vehicle slammed into an auto dealership lot in Goleta, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The crash occurred at about 8:45 p.m. at the Nissan dealership at 425 S. Kellogg Ave.
A black sedan was northbound on Kellogg at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway, clipped a fire hydrant, and struck at least three vehicles on the dealership lot, according to fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli.
It also damaged signage at the dealership.
One of two occupants of the vehicle suffered mnoderate injuries, Bertucelli said.
The injured person was taken by AMR ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, but his name and details on his condition were not available.
A second occupant did not appear to be seriously hurt, but reportedly also was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The crash was under investigation by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department.
