One person was extricated from an overturned vehicle on an off-ramp along Highway 101 in Santa Maria on Saturday afternoon.

At 5:15 p.m., personnel from the Santa Maria Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol and American Medical Response were dispatched to the incident at the Donovan Road off-ramp.

Crews removed one trapped person from the wreckage of the vehicle, which landed on its rooftop in thick bushes off the road.

The injured individual was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries, according to Santa Maria firefighters.

The off-ramp remained closed for approximately an hour while emergency crews were at the scene, but it reopened at about 6:30 p.m.
