Cate, Dos Pueblos and San Marcos will have their boys and girls lacrosse teams competing in the CIF-SS playoffs this week.

In boys lacrosse, Channel League-champion Cate received a first-round bye. The Rams will play host to either El Segundo or Long Beach Millikan next Saturday in the second round.

Dos Pueblos, the Channel League runner-up, drew a first-round home game on Thursday against Paloma Valley, the No. 4 team from the Ivy League (6-11). Third-place San Marcos travels to Brentwood (Gold Coast No. 3) on Thursday.

In girls lacrosse, Cate was seeded fourth in Division 3 and will open against the winner of a wild-card match (Northwood at Paloma Valley) on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. The Rams won the Channel League.

San Marcos, the Channel League’s No. 3 team, plays a Division 3 wild-card game on Monday at 4 p.m. against Huntington Beach, an at-large entry from the Sunset League. The winner faces Riverside Poly in the first round on Wednesday.

Dos Pueblos, the Channel League runner-up, got a tough assignment in the Division 2 bracket, drawing third-seeded and undefeated Oak Park (16-0). The game will be played at Scott O’Leary Stadium on Wednesday.
