A large truck overturned and blocked both lanes of Highway 154 near Santa Barbara for hours Tuesday morning and afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. 

The truck driver was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries, County Fire spokesman Mike Eliason said. 

The rollover was reported at 9:12 a.m. and the roadway was reopened in both directions around 1 p.m. 

During the closure, State Route 154 was closed at State Route 192 in Santa Barbara and at State Route 246 roundabout in Santa Ynez, Caltrans District 5 spokesman Jim Shivers said. 

Highway 101 and State Route 246 are alternate routes to and from the Santa Ynez Valley.
