A two-alarm fire damaged a single-family home in Montecito late Friday night, according to the Montecito Fire Protection District.
The blaze on the 700 block of Park Lane was reported by an alarm company at about 11:40 p.m., fire Division Chief Alan Widling said.
Crews arrived to find a working fire in the two-story residence, and a second alarm was called, bringing in personnel from the City of Santa Barbara and the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire District.
“The fire appeared to be a chimney fire that extended into the walls, the second floor and the attic,” Widling said. “The residents were home at the time and exited the home safely.”
It took firefighters about an hour and 20 minutes to control the fire, which remained under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
