A two-vehicle collision sent at least one person to the hospital for treatment of major injuries in the Lompoc Valley on Tuesday afternoon, according to emergency dispatch reports.

At approximately 1:40 p.m., personnel from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the Lompoc Fire Department and California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the 2200 block of Purisima Road.

The collision involved a red sports car and a black Kia Soul, with more than one ambulance called to the scene, according to emergency dispatch reports.

Additional details were not immediately available.
