UCSB suffered its worst shooting night in years and lost at UC Irvine 58-31 in a Big West women’s basketball game on Thursday.

The Gauchos made only 9 shots in 50 attemps (18 percent) and scored just four points in each the second and fourth quarters.

The nine field goals were the fewest ever under head coach Bonnie Henrickson.

Alexis Tucker led the Gauchos with 10 points, with six of them coming from the free-throw line.

UC Irvine held UCSB center Ila Lane to six poits and five rebounds.

UCSB fell to 4-4 in the Big West and 10-7 overall. UC Irvine is 7-2 and 12-8.
