Meg Burling scored in the 17th minute and Alyssa O’Brien finished a corner kick from Brenna Madruga in the 63rd to put UCSB in good position to get its first win.

The Gauchos return to Harder Stadium on Thursday to play Fresno State. The team will honor first responders at the game.
