UCSB couldn’t hold a two-goal lead and finished in a 2-2 draw with visiting San Jose State in a women’s soccer match on Sunday at Harder Stadium

Meg Burling scored in the 17th minute and Alyssa O’Brien finished a corner kick from Brenna Madruga in the 63rd to put UCSB in good position to get its first win.

But San Jose State roared back with two goals in a 10-minute span. The result dropped UCSB to 0-4-2.

The Gauchos return to Harder Stadium on Thursday to play Fresno State. The team will honor first responders at the game.
