Laguna Blanca freshman Kincade Avery was a force in the middle for the Owls in a 25-12, 25-19, 25-22 volleyball  sweep at Nordhoff on Friday.

Avery had eight kills with zero errors and had two blocks.

“We got more good experience in the match tonight, and freshman Kincade had a solid night in the middle,” said assistant coach Kat Niksto. “As a young team, we continue to work hard in each match, like another freshman, Caden Weaver, who came into the match and took some good swings, adding five kills.”

Freddie Russell led the Owls with 13 kills and Finn Walker had 11 kills, four aces and five digs.

Laguna Blanca (3-0) heads to the Chadwick Tournament on Saturday.
