SUMMARY:Montecito Wildfire Preparedness Community Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Montecito Fire Department will host a Montecito Wildfire Preparedness Community Meeting on June 26\, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Montecito Union School in the auditorium.  Community members are invited to attend this valuable panel discussion and question & answer session.\n\n\nPanelists will include representatives from:\n\n\n-Montecito Fire Department\n-Montecito Water District\n-Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management\n-Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office\nOur partners from our adjoining fire agencies\, California Highway Patrol\, and Santa Barbara Police Department will also be in attendance.\n\n\nAttendees can expect to learn about:\n-Montecito’s wildfire risk and unique fire weather conditions\n-Wildfire prevention efforts in Montecito\n-Montecito Fire Department’s emergency response and wildfire suppression plans\n-Firefighting water sources and Montecito’s water supply reliability\n-Evacuation procedures and readiness\n-Emergency alerting systems\, including the new Genasys evacuation program\n\n \n\n\nCommunity members are encouraged to submit questions in advance for panelists to address during the meeting. Questions may be submitted online or via email to info@montecitofire.com. Attendees may also submit questions in person prior to the 6 p.m. start time. While not all questions may be answered during the meeting\, Montecito Fire Department will review and provide follow-up by early July.\n\n\nSubmit your questions here: https://forms.office.com/r/Yjef0md2dJ \n\n\nSpanish interpretation will be provided.
