San Marcos rolled to a 25-19, 25-6, 25-8 sweep over Oxnard in a Channel League boys volleyball match Wednesday at the Thunderhut.

The Royals improve to 4-0 in league and 10-2 overall.

Junior opposite Nate Loomer had six kills on eight swings and hit .625.

“Nate has improved daily throughout this season and has established himself on the court,” said coach Roger Kuntz. “As he moves into starting rotations, he is doing  a great job playing at a very high level.”

Bishop Diego 3, Dunn 0

Liam Flood’s 12 kills and Austin Carty’s seven aces paced the Cardinals to a 25-12, 25-18, 25-18 Tri-Valley League sweep.

“After a week off for Senior activities, we were without a doubt rusty,” said coach Dillan Bennett. “Dunn played scrappy, and we were going through the motions. I thought we served really well, and Dunn did a nice job handling our service pressure.

“We’ve got a busy week and a tough weekend ahead, so I’m hopeful we can hit our stride by the end of the weekend.”

The Cardinals (2-1 in league, 6-2 overall) host Cate on Thursday at 6 p.m., then head to Malibu on Friday before playing in the Dos Pueblos Invitational on Saturday at UCSB.

Laguna Blanca 3, Cate 1
