The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse has formed a new Media Task Force.
Headed by Catherine Remak, the committee will meet quarterly but will work together year-round to pool media resources and brainstorm creative ideas for helping CADA achieve its mission: to create a safer, healthier community by reducing the negative effects of drug and alcohol abuse in Santa Barbara County.
CADA offers myriad services, both school- and community-based, from preventive to recovery programs.
The Task Force met recently to discuss media support for CADA/Fighting Back’s banner projects, such as the annual Mission for Mentors Telethon this month and Summit for Danny on Oct. 26.
