Three people were injured in a recreational vehicle fire at a Santa Maria construction site early Tuesday, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Crews from the county and Santa Maria fire departments responded to a RV in flames on the 3500 block of Skyway Drive at 12:33 a.m.

Two men and a woman were inside the RV at the time of the fire, and they were all transported to Marian Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, county fire Capt. Scott Safechuck said.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in about 20 minutes and keep them from spreading to the building construction, he said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
