One person was injured Friday afternoon when a vehicle crashed off northbound Highway 101 into trees along the Gaviota Coast, according to authorities.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash at 3:15 p.m. near Mariposa Reina.
The vehicle went about 50 feet off the roadway, up an embankment and into some trees, the CHP said.
One person with moderate injuries was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by American Medical Response ambulance, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department said.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no lane closures were reported in the area.
The victim’s name and details on their condition were not available.
