Three people were injured when a vehicle crashed into a tree on Highway 101 north of Buellton, Santa Barbara County Fire officials said.
A vehicle traveling southbound crashed into a tree and caught on fire around 10:23 a.m. north of Highway 154, public information officer Karen Cruz-Orduña said.
Emergency crews extricated three people from the vehicle. One person suffered critical injuries and two sustained minor to moderate injuries, she said.

They were transported by American Medical Response ambulances to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria.
Their names and details on their conditions were not available.
The California Highway Patrol temporarily reduced traffic to one lane in the area.
