Three Northern California residents were arrested on Saturday in connection with residential burglaries in in Isla Vista, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department.

Shortly before 6:30 a.m., deputies responded to the 6500 block of Del Playa Drive to investigate a residential burglary, said Kelly Hoover, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.

“While responding to the area, the reporting party located personal property stolen from her residence inside a gray Dodge Ram truck that was parked in front of their address,” Hoover said. “Three adults — two males and a female — associated with the Dodge truck were contacted.”

Deputies found evidence of burglaries possessed by the suspects and inside the vehicle, Hoover said.

“It was also discovered they were in possession of stolen property from another residential burglary that had occurred a few hours prior, in Isla Vista, while the residents were asleep,” Hoover added.

Demarqus Wiggins, 27, and Rendrick Scypion, 25, both of Sausalito, and Caitlin Williams, 19, of Oakland were booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and possession of stolen property.

Their bail was set at $50,000 each.
