Bishop Diego senior Buddy Melgoza qualified for CIF play after finishing in a tie for second Tuesday in the Tri-Valley League Individual boys tournament.
Melgoza shot a combined 80 in the two-day event, which involved nine holes at Olivas Links and nine holes at the Santa Barbara Golf Club Tuesday and Wednesday.
Melgoza’s Bishop teammate Kaio Tuttle joins him as a First Team All League player. Tuttle placed in a tie for fifth place with 83.
Colin Donnelly of St. Bonaventure was crowned TVL champion, shooting 76. Sharing second place with Melgoza were two other St. Bonaventure players, AJ Ryland and and Jeremiah Collis.
Cameron Medina of Bishop Diego tied for 11th place with a 96, good for Second Team All League.
