Dos Pueblos freshman Eamon Gordon placed fifth with a time of 15:24 over the three mile course to lead the Charger boys varsity to a third place finish out of 28 teams in the Gold Division 2 in the ASICS Woodbridge XC invitational in Norco on Saturday.

The Dos Pueblos girls varsity finished third out of 31 teams, paced by junior Phoebe Wolfe Lyons, who finished 11th in the three-mile course in 18:34. She was followed by junior Sarah Dent with 19:27 and junior Reese Wahlberg with 19:28.

For the Dos Pueblos boys, in addition to Gordon, junior Luci Koroshec finished 11th with 15:41 and Orlando Ye 62nd with 16:37.

“Today was an excellent test for the team, running Division 2 against some of the best schools in California and beyond,” Dos Pueblos head coach Nash Jimenez said. “Our freshman, Eamon Gordon, held his own against some tough competition. Phoebe had one of her best races, getting her personal best today.”
