Freshman Sagarika Manian medaled for Dos Pueblos with a 48 in a 277-310 Channel League win over Cabrillo Thursday, keeping the Chargers undefeated on the season.
Jesse Meudibles shot 51 to lead Cabrillo in the match at Glen Annie Golf Course.
“I know that Saga wasn’t too happy with her score but I was proud of the way she played,” Charger coach Dan Choi said of Manian.
“She was a little out of practice due to injury, and it can be mentally very challenging to play a match when you don’t feel ready. I thought she scrambled well and it is a skill that will serve her well in the future.”
Last month, Manian shot a 37 at Glen Annie against Lompoc in her first medalling effort.
Dos Pueblos is now 8-0 in Channel League matches and 10-0 overall.
