Cate avenged its only loss of the season Thursday, beating Tri-Valley League rival Foothill Tech 11-7.
Rams coach Trevor Thorpe called it “unequivocally the best performance of the season thus far.”
The No. 1 doubles team of Ashi Kamra and Colette Chang swept three sets to improve to 11-0 on the season, the only undefeated league doubles team, Thorpe said.
Aminah Hill and Alyna Takahashi both went 2-1 in singles for the Rams, as did the doubles teams of Ella Chang and Emily May and Ellie Tunnell and Frances Davis.
Cate is now 5-1 on the season and in first place in the TVL.
“Today, this team showed its full potential while maintaining the same level of class and sportsmanship that has always characterized Cate Girls’ Tennis,” Thorpe wrote in his blog.
