The playground at Thompson Park in Lompoc is closed while repairs are being made to the structure.

A slide at the park is damaged, as is the climbing apparatus.

Currently, the playground area at Thompson Park is fenced off for the community’s safety, and city parks and rec staff are asking that community members stay outside the fenced-in area.

City staff is not able to estimate at this time when the playground will reopen for the public’s use, but will offer that information as soon it is available.
