Santa Ynez singles players Micah Thomas and Jacob Merrill swept their sets with the loss of only one game between them as the Pirates downed host Buena 17-1 Thursday.

The Pirate No. 1 doubles team of Noah Thompson and Luke Lockhart also swept with the loss of only one game.

Santa Ynez, 2-0, plays again on Feb. 28 against Paso Robles.
