Fourteen different player scored goals for the Dos Pueblos girls lacrosse team in a 22-2 rout of Nordhoff in a Channel League opener on Tuesday in Ojai.

Cait Duncan and Chloe Gotsis each had a hat trick and Gracie Fuentes and Lauren Lee each scored their first career goals for DP. Avery Ball handed out four assists.

Defensively, Eloise Shea picked up several dropped passes and had six ground-ball wins. 

Autumn Litten, Lauren Elliott and Alice Sperling helped contribute to the team’s total 18 draw wins.

“The ball was primarily in the Chargers possession throughout the game, which is what allowed so many different players to score,” said coach Sam Limkeman. “It was fun to see the ball being passed around and to see so many stats spread throughout the team so evenly.

Dos Pueblos improves to 8-1 on the season.

SANTA BARBARA BOYS LACROSSE IS 2-0

Quinn Lewis and Niko Klopp each scored four goals to help the Santa Barbara High boys lacrosse team rally for a 12-9 victory over Valencia on Tuesday.

The Dons trailed 9-6 early the fourth quarter before going off for six straight goals.

Taj Federbusch scored three goals and Lewis added three assists to his stat line.

Santa Barbara (2-0) plays at Royal on Friday night in Simi Valley.
