The Santa Barbara Zoo is toasting the return of Roar and Pour, a wine- and beer-tasting event in which the animals stay out late and guests can explore the zoo after hours, 5-8 p.m. Saturday, May 7, with a 4-5 p.m. VIP hour.
Tickets can be purchased here, and all proceeds benefit animals at the Santa Barbara Zoo.
Attendees can enjoy a taste of the region’s leading wineries and breweries, as well as have an opportunity to feed the giraffes, ride the zoo train, listen to zookeeper talks, and take home a souvenir Roar and Pour 2022 wine glass.
The success of Roar and Pour is due, in large part, to the donations from winery partners. Wineries, breweries, and beverage purveyors interested in participating can get more information here. Space is limited, so early registration is suggested.
General admission tickets are $85/person and include unlimited wine tastings, one souvenir glass, train rides, giraffe feedings, and access to zoo grounds after hours.
VIP tickets are $120/person and include all general admission perks, plus early entry/VIP hours, appetizers, and animal encounters.
