Alex Gonzalez and Evan Potter combined for seven RBI, powering the Dos Pueblos Little League l1-Under All-Stars to a 13-2 win over Ventura-Foothill for the District 63 Tournament championship on Monday.
Dos Pueblos LL got it going in the first inning with four runs. The team erupted for eight runs in the second and added a run in the third. The game was called after four innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Gonzalez paced the offense with a run-scoring double, triple and single. Tyler Henderson, Potter, Landon Ngai, Sam Weyel and William Checketts all had RBI.
Henderson pitched three hitless innings and struck out six. Landon Ngai closed the game in the fourth.
The DPLL All Stars played errorless defense.
The District 63 champions advance to the Sectional Tournament at Conejo Valley Little League in Thousand Oaks. The sectionals begin July 16.
The DPLL 11U All-Stars consists of Adrian Perez, Alex Gonzalez, Connor Regetz, Evan Potter, Kai Ishino, Landon Ngai, Mateo Sturm, Paul Aljian, Sam Weyel, Titus Bodenhamer, Tyler Henderson, Tyler Weber, and William Checketts.
