To showcase our support as a sponsor of Music in the Garden Concert Series put on by Solvang Theaterfest, Noozhawk spoke with Scott Coe, Executive Director at Solvang Theaterfest to learn more about their upcoming concert series.

Question: What is the name & date of your event?
Answer: Music in the Garden Concert Series July 23 – September 11.
Q: What is the mission, goal, and/or theme of this occasion?
A: A series of Sunday afternoon Concerts in our newly remodeled Patron Garden featuring a wide variety of genres, including Big Band, R&B, Latin, Mambo soul, California Country, 80’s rock and 20’s vintage jazz.
Q: Have you held this event before?
A: This is an annual summer series of concerts, previously titled “Jazz & Beyond.”
Q: How do people get involved with your event? (volunteer, attend, etc.) – If your event includes ticket sales, please note the price and include a link to purchase tickets.
A: Tickets are $37 per show, and we do offer a discount if you buy the entire 7 concert series.

Q: Is this a fundraising affair? If so, how will the funds raised help your organization?
A: We are a non profit 501c3, so the proceeds from our concerts support the operations of the theater.
Q: Who is sponsoring your event, and why is their support important?
A: Firestone Walker Brewery, 19-6 Architects, The Kellogg Organization, and Vinland Hotel and Lounge.
Q: Do you work with an Event Planner? If not, who are the key people who make it all happen?
A: Scott Coe, Executive Director, Chantel Green, Executive Assistant and our volunteer Board of Directors.
Q: Does your organization have any other upcoming events this year?
A: An evening with Brian Regan, live onstage in our 700 seat amphitheater, September 21 and Robert Cray Band live onstage, October 14.
Q: What are you planning as a post-event follow up?
A: More great music and entertainment on its way in our newly renovated amphitheater, with $5.3 million in improvements.
