The cross country season kicks off this week.
GIRLS TENNIS
Santa Ynez blanked Bishop Diego, 18-0, in a non-league match. It was the first match for the Cardinals, who are being coached by former UCSB coach Pete Kirkwood.
“Although no sets were won, the experience gained by this young Bishop team is a great building block as we progress and get ready for league matches,” said Kirkwood.
Bishop plays at Carpinteria on Wednesday.
GIRLS GOLF
Santa Ynez finished seventh in an 18-hold Mountain League Tournament at Rancho Maria CC.
Sophomore Mackenzie Phelan shot a 90 to lead the Pirates.
