Laguna Blanca and Santa Barbara swept through their quarter-final volleyball trials Saturday, and find themselves on the doorstep of CIF glory.

Laguna bested Lucerne Valley thrice, 25-20, 25-23, 25-17, and will host Woodcrest Christian at home Tuesday. The Owls, last season’s 4A-Division champs, will try to repeat Saturday if they can get past that tough semi-final test.
Santa Barbara also swept its quarter-final foe, Upland, 25-17, 25-22, 25-17, to earn a semi-final showdown with Flintridge-Sacred Heart, on the road. The top-seeded Dons are the last Channel League entry in 1A Division, after Dos Pueblos dropped a pressure-packed four-game battle with last year’s champion, Marymount, 25-23, 25-23, 21-25, 25-17.
