Bishop Diego’s Elliot Redkey and Lily Simolon scored 13 points each as the Cardinals beat Valley Christian Academy 53-37 Friday.
Citlali Morales added nine points for the Cardinals.
The second and third quarters made the difference, with Bishop Diego outscoring Valley Christian 37-22.
“I liked our defense, and our transition offense is improving,” Cardinals coach Jeff Burich said. “Elliot made several nice passes for layups, and Lily was a force inside getting great position and finishing. Citlali played great defense and showed great hustle all over the court.”
Bishop Diego is now 5-1 overall and hosts Santa Paula on Monday.
