San Marcos defeated Oxnard 15-5 on Tuesday afternoon. The royals came out to a commanding 4-1 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Royals were led on defense by Junior Serenity Stansfield with 9 saves.
San Marcos sophomore left-handed attacker Reese Danhauer scored seven goals to lead the Royals to a 15-5 win over Oxnard Tuesday.
San Marcos established a 4-1 first-quarter lead and didn’t look back.
Junior Serenity Stansfield led on defense with nine saves, and freshman Sophie Konker had seven steals and four goals.
The Royals, now 5-2, host Ventura Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. for a Senior Day match honoring nine seniors.
San Marcos then plays at Santa Barbara at 3:15 p.m. Friday, and Saturday at 10 a.m. against Foothill at Santa Barbara. The annual Alumni game will be at 12:45 p.m. at San Marcos, where the team will honor Olympian Paige Hauschild.
