The Carpinteria girls came back from an early deficit with their speed and endurance to beat Thousand Oaks 10-7 in a non-league match on the road Friday.
Ainslee Alexander found the back of the cage four times to lead the Warriors’ scoring. Lilli Nemetz added three goals, Giulia Piccoletti scored twice and Kate Isaac once.
Goalie Erin Otsuki recorded 12 blocks and two steals.
“It was a big comeback win for the Warriors and a great way to put an end to finals week and a start of winter break,” Carpinteria coach Jon Otsuki said. “The Warriors have been showing improvement in communication, defense and situational awareness.”
The Warriors, 5-2 overall, will be on winter break and return to action the first week of January in the Buena “friendlies” tournament.
