Two people were injured after a sedan crashed off the side of Highway 154 near Santa Barbara on Monday afternoon, according to the County Fire Department.
A vehicle over the side call was reported at 1:38 p.m., and the car was discovered about 100 feet downhill from the roadway, Capt. Scott Safechuck said.
County Fire, Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol and American Medical Response crews responded to the scene.
Responders used a rope system to get the two women in the car up to the roadway, Safechuck said.

They both had minor injuries and were transported to the hospital by American Medical Response ambulance, he said.
Highway 154 was closed in both directions during the rescue, and was reopened around 3:45 p.m., according to Caltrans.
The highway also had a temporary closure of Highway 154 at North San Marcos Road Monday afternoon, reportedly for a tour bus that got stuck on the narrow, winding roadway.
The Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
No further details were available.
