ASAP Cats is seeking urgent help in finding homes – temporary or permanent – for the cats and kittens within the shelter.

After an increased intake of 90 cats in June (with 53 arriving in just the last two weeks), ASAP’s team has been working tirelessly to find these cats homes, with more intakes occurring daily.
Kitten season is hitting the shelter hard as summer returns to Santa Barbara, and ASAP Cats is once again making a plea for the community to open its generous arms.
Senior cats, young kittens, and felines of all shapes and sizes are currently in the shelter, with many veteran fosters already handling a fair share of cats in their homes.
ASAP is asking the community to consider taking in a cat – either to adopt or to foster – to help lighten the load on the shelter and to save the lives of these cats.
ASAP will be holding its monthly Adoption Event & Yard Sale 10 a.m-3 p.m. Saturday, June 24 to find these cats home.
Short-term fostering is available, and greatly helps decrease the stress of ASAP’s cats by providing them space outside of the shelter.
There will additionally be a Free Microchipping Clinic for Cats 10 a.m.-1 p.m. during the adoption event. Lifesaving and proactive, the free microchip clinics seek to further protect the local cats of Santa Barbara County.
