Cate girls volleyball bounced back from a set-one loss and won three sets in a row en route to a victory over St. Bonaventure on Friday.
After falling 18-25, the Rams rattled off wins of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-23 to clinch the win.
“What a tough battle tonight,” Cate coach Jordon Dyer said. “I’m really proud of our team embracing adversity, stepping up to the challenge and coming out on top.
“We knew it would be a tough environment to compete in, but we were resilient and never lost our poise.”
Melanie Davidson and Oyin Opawumi once again were all over the stat sheet, each posting a double-double for the third time this week.
Along with Davidson and Opawumi, Josie Frazier turned in some important blocks and Fallon Erickson stood out, according to Dyer.
“Tonight was a special win for us, really fun to be a part of.”
Cate will host Foothill Tech on Tuesday.
