There’s a new squash spot in Santa Barbara.
Last Thursday, the YMCA at 36 Hitchcock Way in downtown Santa Barbara revealed its brand-new squash court.
In partnership with the Santa Barbara School of Squash (SBSOS), the YMCA hosted an event with around 100 people in attendance, including YMCA staff, the SBSOS board, former and current SBSOS students and local squash players.
Craig Prentice, the executive director of Santa Barbara YMCA, and Robert Graham, SBSOS’ executive director, gave speeches regarding their collaboration and the similar missions of both organizations.
The squash court will be utilized by the SBSOS and will also be available to YMCA members in the community.
