Santa Barbara youth girls lacrosse signups are open for a dynamic spring sports season that runs from Feb. 6 to May 2.  

Parents may register their daughter now or they may bring her to a Friday Night Free Try Lacrosse session on Dec. 15 to make sure she will like the game before signing up.  

The league will be run under 805 Lacrosse Project with the efforts of former Santa Barbara High coach Elayne Blessing, current Santa Barbara High coach Jessica Gastelum and San Marcos coach Paul Ramsey.

Learning to play at the youth level is recreational good fun but it can also eventually lead to playing on teams at the CIF Varsity & JV programs at the three SBUSD high schools.

Here are the grade groups and their practice days:

Mondays & Wednesdays

1st through 6th Grade Girls – Foothill Elementary from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Tuesdays & Thursdays

1st through 6th Grade Girls – Hollister Elementary from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

6th through 8th Grade Girls – Elings Park from 4:00-5:30 p.m.
