A man accused of stalking pop singer Ariana Grande pleaded guilty to stalking and burglary charges this week in a Santa Barbara court and will be sentenced to prison time, according to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office.

After breaking into Grande’s Montecito home in June 2022, 25-year-old Aharon Zebulun Israel Brown was arrested by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of stalking, burglary, and damaging power lines, as well as violating a court order and tampering with fire-alarm equipment, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Raquel Zick had told Noozhawk at the time.

Brown reportedly broke into the home, disabled security systems with a screwdriver, and cut wires to the alarm and telephone lines. Law enforcement and a K-9 found him hiding in a crawl space inside the home.

While Zick did not say at the time who owns the residence, Grande reportedly obtained a five-year restraining order against Brown in Los Angeles County in October 2021.

The “Thank U, Next” singer reportedly bought the Montecito home in 2020 from Ellen DeGeneres for $6.7 million.

Brown broke into Grande’s Hollywood residence more than 92 times between February and September 2021, wielded a knife at her security team and threatened them and Grande in September 2021, the District Attorney’s Office said.

Investigators found evidence of Brown’s extensive efforts to stalk Grande, as he possessed more than 2,000 photos or videos of Grande and sent her threatening Instagram messages between May 26, 2021, and June 26, 2022.

In a statement about the guilty plea, District Attorney John Savrnoch referred to the victim in this case as Jane Doe and thanked her and her security team for “their courage and resilience.”

Sentencing for Brown is scheduled for May 3 at Superior Court in Santa Barbara before Judge Pauline Maxwell, where he is set to be sentenced to three years and eight months in state prison and will be subject to a 10-year restraining order.

The announcement comes just one day before Grande’s new single “Yes, And?” is set to release on Friday.
